The Invisalign Orthodontic System, is often times referred to as "clear braces". The system is highly effective at realigning natural teeth and improving smiles in a number of different cosmetic alignment and crowding applications. The older and more familiar method of metal braces or white ceramic braces is becoming a the less utilized choice by patients, due to the introduction of this newer clear alignment system. Although not all patients may be able to use this "unique leading technology" orthodontic aignment system, the patient is able to visually assess treatment concerns prior to aligning their smile.
The Invisalign orthodontic alignment system offers many significant advantages for the adult and younger adult patients. Invisalign offers orthodontic smile enhancement with predictable results, producing beautiful natural smiles. Probably one of the greatest, most beneficial applications today, is for the patient that has already had braces placed in the past and is now noticing some minor or even moderate crowding or alignment issues (often referred to as relapse by dental professionals).
Working adults find this clear aligner method of realignment and cosmetic correction to be fast, efficient and a very comfortable way of reestablishing that beautiful, natural smile. A smile they once enjoyed and after wearing braces for years to accomplish, during their earlier years of orthodontic treatment. Invisalign offers a uncompromised advantage for the working adult not willing to accept placement of braces again to accomplish the realingment.
The Invisalign program, is an excellent system for orthodontic corrective cosmetic treatment. Invisalign treatment requires very few appointments for patients to get started. Most cases, can be completed in a very short 6 to 9 active month treatment time, with
very few office visits. This a big time savings to the busy patient. The Invisalign system of clear aligners are becoming more popular with young adults as well, for the understandable reasons of not having to wear metal braces. More and more young people are finding the Invisalign program an appealing alternative, with faster treatment times and a more efficient treatment process.
The Invisalign system offers a popular state of the art, computer simulation program for allowing our patients to view their smile and assess before and after treatment.
This is accomplished through a unique CAT scan technology of the patients initial dental molds prior to beginning and treatment. The computer program allows patients to view their actual teeth, after being uploaded onto the companies proprietary software. allowing the patient to analyses their dentition right along with the dental profession. This effectively allows the patients dentition to be analyzed in many different different 3 dimensional views. Smiles can be evaluated in the many different views, dental concerns can be visually expressed and addressed, and the final orthodontic result may be assessed prior to the utilizing the Invisalign clear orthodontic aligners, as the treatment of choice, to enhance the patients smile.

Dr. Ardizzone graduated from Lake Braddock High School in Burke, Virginia (1977). His mother, native to Bremerton, Washington, allowed him to spend many summers and winters visiting family in Washington state while growing up. He fell in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and chose to moved to the Puget Sound area the following year to attend Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. In 1982, Dr Ardizzone moved to the University District to attend Dental School at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, Seattle, Washington.
While attending the University of Washington, Dr Ardizzone was selected to attend the oral surgery residency program at the University of Leeds, Leeds Dental Institute, Leeds England. It was during his oral surgical residency that a passion for dental surgery was ignited. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University Of Washington, School of Dentistry(1987).
As a charter member, Dr Ardizzone joined the Puget Sound Gnathologic Study Club(1988), an Olin Loomis Study Club. Through the meticulous direction and training of Dr. Olin Loomis, he learned comprehensive dentistry, oral rehabilitation, gnathologic concepts and bioesthetics. Dr Ardizzone became a member of the International Academy of Gnathology(1988).
Dr Ardizzone was able to continue his dental education through this academy and broaden his knowledge in the area of functional and biological occlusion, natural esthetics and temporal mandibular joint therapy. Dr Loomis incouraged Dr Ardizzone to gain valuable skills in the area of Gnathologic Orthopedics, Interceptive orthopedics, Orthopedic jaw development and orthodontics.
Dr Ardizzone joined the Seattle Orthopedic Gnathologic Seminar (1989), a group that meets with the Northwest Orthopedic Gnathologic Seminar group monthly to further his knowledge and training in the areas of orthopedics and orthodontics. Dr Ardizzone became a member of the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics (1991).
It was through these professional groups and the excellant professionals associated with them, that has allowed Dr Ardizzone has been able to gain valuable continuing education in comprehensive dentistry, cosmetic and advance his technical skills in dentistry.
I am deeply appreciative of the many kind years of dental training and guidance I received by Dr Olin Loomis DMD, his endless hours of guidance and training in the area of oral rehabilitation, and comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry. He was an exceptional dentist and friend.
